World Vision Malawi (WVM) has made a generous donation to students with disabilities at Bowe Vocational Centre in Kasungu District under its “Able to Thrive” project.
The donation, which includes blankets, bedding sets, tablets, washing soap, shoes, hygiene packs, notepads and pens, is aimed at improving the well-being of the students and helping them focus better on their education.
WVM Project Manager, Kenan Nyirenda said the organisation understands the difficulties students with disabilities face and believes the donation will make a difference.
“Many of these students face challenges. So, we believe these items will help create a more conducive environment and enable them to focus on their education,” he said.
Nyirenda further said the organisation is committed to creating better learning conditions for students with disabilities.
One of the beneficiaries, Guza Tambo, expressed gratitude for the support.:
“This donation will go a long way. It shows that people care about us and want us to succeed,” he said.
The donation is part of World Vision’s ongoing efforts to promote inclusive education and support vulnerable groups in Malawi by increasing their access to education, health services, and emotional support.
