A Lilongwe-based technology company, Vendorme Technologies Limited has launched Yonne Deliveries, an innovative digital platform designed to make shopping and delivery services faster, easier, and more convenient for Malawians.
Based in Area 25C, Sector 1, the platform is currently serving customers within Lilongwe, with plans to expand its operations to other districts across the country.
Through the application, users can browse products from participating merchants, place orders online, and have their purchases delivered directly to their homes or workplaces.
Speaking in an interview, Chief Operations Officer Hastings Khomo said the idea behind Yonne Deliveries was inspired by the challenges many Malawians face when trying to coordinate deliveries through lengthy phone calls and informal arrangements.
“We developed Yonne Deliveries to address the challenges in Malawi’s urban logistics system by creating a platform that easily connects customers with merchants and reliable delivery services, making shopping and deliveries more convenient for everyone,” said Khomo.
Although the platform is still new, it has already attracted more than 50 users, indicating a growing demand for convenient and reliable delivery solutions in Malawi.
One of the users, Lilongwe resident Chikondi Banda, praised the platform for simplifying the shopping experience.
“The platform is simple to use and saves me both time and transport costs. Being able to order products and have them delivered to my doorstep is very convenient,” Banda said.
Among the businesses already benefiting from the service is Mfumu Supermarketing in Area 47, Bwandilo, Lilongwe. Through the platform, customers can browse available products, place orders and receive deliveries without visiting the physical store.
To ensure efficient and dependable service, Yonne Deliveries has partnered with trusted delivery providers, including CL Deliveries and TM Deliveries, which help transport orders safely and promptly.
The company is also encouraging more merchants and business owners to join the platform.
Participating businesses are offered a free website integrated with the system or a dedicated online link to showcase their products and expand their customer reach.
According to Vendorme Technologies, its long-term vision is to build a connected digital commerce ecosystem that simplifies trade, improves access to goods and services and promotes business growth across Malawi.
