Pyramid Paints Lilongwe Vocational Centre Classroom

Pyramid Developments and Investment Limited has brought smiles to students at the Lilongwe Vocational Training Centre by painting their cosmetology classroom with fresh, beautiful colours.

The training centre, which is under the Malawi Council for Disability Affairs (Macoda), helps people with disabilities learn practical skills such as hairdressing, tailoring, carpentry. These skills help them to get jobs and live better lives.

The classroom was painted using Pyramid’s new decorative paint, which cost about K1.8 million as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

Pyramid’s Sales and Marketing Manager Ameena Mzokomera said the company was happy to help the centre because they believe a clean and nice-looking classroom makes learning better.

“We believe that a clean and beautiful classroom makes students happy and helps them enjoy learning. We are proud to make this small difference,” she said.

Mzokomera also said they plan to come back and paint more classrooms in the future.

The Centre’s Manager, McRobert Manjale, thanked Pyramid for the support. He said the painted classroom has brought a new and fresh look that will lift the mood of both students and trainers.

“This classroom looks very nice now. It will help students feel more comfortable and confident. We are very thankful to Pyramid,” he said.
