Organisation Lifts Chikwawa Learners with Learning Materials

Over 100 learners from Mantchombe primary school in Chikwawa have received a morale boost after Community Focus Organisation (COFO) handed them basic supplies vital for their studies.

The learners have been given learning materials such as note books, geometry boxes, and assorted groceries to keep them comfortable during the cold season.

COFO Executive Director Joshua Malunga said the support falls under their “Tsogolo Langa” project, which targets disadvantaged children.

“We want to change lives in a real way through this project,” Malunga said.

He added that the gesture is part of COFO’s wider effort to safeguard the wellbeing of at-risk children in the district.

“When we take care of vulnerable children today, we’re investing in a better tomorrow for them,” said Malunga.

According to COFO, learners who have so far benefited from the initiative have witnessed their grades improve.

“They might look like small things, but sometimes small things remove big barriers,” he added.

One of the recipients, Prince Mzengeza expressed gratitude, noting the items will help him focus better in class.

“For me, this is like hope delivered because these supplies will help us at home and here at school,” Prince said.
