MultiChoice Malawi Clocks 30 Years: Unveils New CEO

Digital Satellite service providers, MultiChoice Malawi, has clocked 30 years of operating in the country.

The firm’s Chief Executive Officer Mvuzo Dzingwa, who was unveiled on Thursday at Sunbird Mount Soche, said it would review its charges to be affordable to the customers.

He said: “We want to make sure we scale up in terms of subscriber growth, but we also want to ensure we create wider and easier access for the entire communities within Malawi.

“Most of the subscribers come from high density areas at the moment. We want to put forward initiatives that will allow us penetrate and give accessibility the rural areas as well.”

Dzingwa said the firm has expanded its foothold during the 30 years of its operation.

“The business set the entertainment scene for the rest of Africa.Even new entrants that have come now such as Netflix and Disney, were able to understand that there is a market in Africa because of MultChoice. We believe there’s even more opportunities to grow going forward.”
