Mpachika and Chigodi to Represent Limbe Presbytery at CCAP Blantyre Synod Kids Talent Show

Excitement is in the air as Mpachika CCAP and Chigodi CCAP have emerged top in their respective categories and will represent Limbe Presbytery at this year’s CCAP Blantyre Synod Kids Talent Promotion.

The Kids Talent Promotion is set to take place at Mawira CCAP in Machinga under Domasi Presbytery on 27 September 2025.

The annual event brings together Sunday school children from various presbyteries to showcase their God-given talents in drama, choir, verse recitals, storytelling, poetry and bible quiz.

In the drama category, Chigodi CCAP took the first position, followed by Mpachika CCAP in second, Bangwe CCAP in third, St. Columba in fourth, and Mount Moriah CCAP in fifth.

In the choir category, Mpachika CCAP claimed the first position, followed by Limbe CCAP, Bangwe CCAP, Namiyango CCAP, and Chinguluwe CCAP in descending order.

According to the Limbe Presbytery Activity Secretary, Chiku Saizi, only the first-place winners from each category will proceed to represent the presbytery at the Synod level, where they will compete against the top winners of other presbyteries including Blantyre City, Domasi, and Shire Valley.

This means Mpachika CCAP will represent the choir category, while Chigodi CCAP will represent drama for Limbe Presbytery.

Mpachika, Chigodi, and Namiyango CCAP churches will also represent Limbe Presbytery in verse recitals, poetry, and storytelling categories.

Reflecting on the success, the Activity Secretary of Limbe Presbytery and Choir Director of Mpachika CCAP Sunday School Choir expressed deep gratitude.

“Our joy is great because, for the first time in history, Mpachika Sunday School Choir has been selected to represent the Presbytery at the Synod Level. Above all, we are simply thanking God for this achievement.”

The Synod-level event promises to be a vibrant celebration of creativity, faith, and fellowship among the youngest members of the CCAP church.

This year’s talent show saw participation from 14 churches in the drama category and 15 churches in the choir category, highlighting the enthusiasm and commitment among Sunday school ministries in nurturing talent and spiritual growth among children.
