The Malawi Confederation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (MCCCI) has announced that the 21st edition of the National Agriculture Fair (NAF) will take place from August 28 to 30, 2025, at the Chichiri Trade Fair Grounds in Blantyre in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture.
Speaking at a media briefing, MCCCI Director of Membership Development, Wezi Mungoni said President Lazarus Chakwera is expected to officially open the event.
Mungoni confirmed that over 80 exhibitors have already registered with numbers expected to rise as the event approaches.
She said the fair aims to foster connections between agri-businesses and potential customers, off-takers, researchers, policymakers and development partners, contributing to stronger performance in the agricultural sector and the wider economy.
This year’s fair will run under the theme: “Towards Commercialisation and Economic Transformation through Smart and Sustainable Agriculture Systems,” aligning with the Malawi 2063, a development blueprint and the Agriculture, Tourism, Mining, and Manufacturing (ATMM) Strategy.
Last year’s fair set a record with 86 exhibitors, marking the highest participation since the event’s inception in 2003.
