Renowned Malawian filmmaker Yusuf Kachingwe, popularly known as Genuine Kado, has announced that he has secured K35 million to produce his upcoming movie titled Cholinga Cha Mneneri Wonyenga.
Kado, who earlier this year also released another film titled Revenge of the Ghost, revealed that several people, whose names he did not to disclose, have contributed to raising the production funds for the new project.
“We will begin filming this October. People should expect a captivating movie, especially with the strong support we’ve received,” said Kado.
He disclosed that the film will feature nearly 20 characters and will include intense scenes centered on witchcraft and deception.
“There’s a lot of witchcraft involved in this movie. It will be thrilling and full of suspense,” he added.
Over the years, Genuine Kado has captured the attention of local audiences with various films, including Magwiragwira, Anthu Usana, and Mudzionetsetsa, all of which have contributed to his growing reputation in Malawi’s film industry.
With this new production, Kado promises another exciting and thought-provoking cinematic experience.
