Farai Chazima Foundation Launches Search for Hidden Talents

Lilongwe-based foundation, Farai Chazima Foundation has launched a talent identification exercise aimed at unearthing talent among the country’s youths.

The exercise dubbed “Show Your Hidden Talent”, is being championed by Lilongwe-based gospel musician, Farai Chazima who is the foundation’s executive director.

Chazima has told ProjectM in an interview that over K9 million has been set aside to among others, identify and support talented youth whose talent was being hindered by lack of resources.

She said the initiative, which is being sponsored by Copyright Fund under the Copyright Society of Malawi (COSOMA), will be officially launched on 12 July 2025 at Music Crossroads located in Area 23 in Lilongwe.

“So, this exercise has been launched to unearth hidden talent in categories such as dancing, acting, poetry and singing,” she said.

Chazima said youth between the ages of 16 to 30 are eligible to participate in the exercise.

“At the end of the initiative, we are hoping to identify talented players who can put the country on the map,” said Chazima.

Meanwhile, Copyright Fund Chairperson Robert Kapyepye has said the entity is looking forward to the launch of the exercise.

“As a sponsor, we are eager to see what this exercise will unearth and we are hoping for good news,” said Kapyepye.

For registration, eligible youth can register via phone on 0999 670 852 or 0883 012 131.
