Musicians ELI Njuchi and Onesimus have been nominated for the prestigious African Entertainment Awards in the USA (AEAUSA).
Eli Njuchi has been nominated in the Rising Star of the Year whereas Onesimus has been nominated in the category of Best New Artist.
This is the second time for Eli Njuchi to be nominated in this award as he was also nominated in the category of Best New Act and Rising Star of the Year in 2023.
Meanwhile, Onesimus has also secured two prestigious nominations in the Zikomo Awards.
Onesimus has received recognition in the category of Best Zikomo Artist of the year and Best Zikomo Song of the year for his hit song Controller.
Onesimus has also scooped two international awards Best Male Artist in the Hollywood and African Prestigious Award (HAPA) and the 2024 Music Video Africa Awards (MVAA) for his song Controller.
AEUSA honours outstanding achievements in African and Caribbean Entertainment, Culture, Fashion and the Socio-Economic Industries.
Since its inception, AEAUSA has become a premier platform for showcasing exceptional talents and diverse cultures of Africa and the Caribbean, including those in the fashion industry.
This year’s event will pay homage to a decade of cultural exchange, diversity, and inspiration, bringing together the best of the entertainment industry.
AEAUSA will host a Fashion Show on November 8, from 6pm to 9pm, celebrating the creativity and innovation of African and Caribbean Models and Designers.
The main awards ceremony will take place November 9 from 7pm to 11:30pm, both events held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Newark Airport, 128 Frontage Rd, Newark, NJ 07114, United States.
Meanwhile, voting for nominees opened on September 30 and will run up to November 2.
