CHIYANJANO WOMEN’S CHOIR RELEASES NEW ALBUM

Malawi’s Gospel Group, the Chiyanjano Women’s Choir of the Likiliki fame, has released their new album titled “Matamando’’, featuring 11 tracks.

Moses Mtonga, Managing Director for Chiyanjano Women’s Choir, has said preparations are at an advanced stage to launch the album.

He said: “The Choir is much appreciative seeing its followers loving the songs and this shows that Malawians have really welcomed the album with all their hearts, considering the key messages from each and every song in the album.

“We thank God for the awesome support from all Malawians and our followers outside the country. We urge them to keep on supporting us so that God’s message should reach out to many people around the world through our music.”

According to the Managing Director, the most popular hit songs in the new album including Matamando, Adzaomba M’manja, Alekeni Anene and many more.

Mtonga said the choir will continue to providing Malawians and their followers all over the world, the kind of music that will keep them positive and make them feel uplifted and joyous.

In preparations for the launch of the album, he said the group will hold a music festival on 1 September, 2024 to be held at NoVa Gardens Corner, area 49, in the Capital Lilongwe.

He said the album carries messages for the salvation, following the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, encouraging people not to despise others.

It also cautions people to take note that only God knows someone’s destiny and He fights the battle for His own people.

The Kasungu-based manager said, apart from the new one, the group has so far released three albums, including Mbuye Ali Likiliki, which was released twice.

The group first became famous in 2021 with their debut Album’’ Mbuye Ali Likiliki.

The Chiyanjano Women’s Choir was established in 2014 and has a membership of 13.
