Zomba-based youthful innovator Hudson Mwangalika has been made brand ambassador for Global Peace Chain, a global organisation dedicated to promoting peace, leadership and youth empowerment.
Mwangalika, who is widely recognised for developing an obstacle avoidance innovation designed to assist visually impaired individuals, said his appointment comes with a strong sense of responsibility to serve communities and inspire positive change.
In an interview, he said that his role as an ambassador would involve advocating for peace, supporting community-based initiatives and empowering young people to take action in addressing challenges within their communities.
He added that the position would also allow him to collaborate with fellow ambassadors and young leaders from across the world, participate in international programmes, and contribute to impactful global projects.
“It’s not just a title. It’s a responsibility. This is an opportunity for me to grow as a leader, expand my global network and make a meaningful difference by promoting unity and strengthening communities,” explained Mwangalika.
His selection highlights the growing recognition of young Malawian innovators on the internatiovnal stage, particularly those using technology and creativity to address real-life challenges.
