Old Mutual Malawi Limited has scooped second position in the Tourism and Destination Marketing Campaign category at the Africa Marketing Confederation award conducted on 21 August, 2025 in Ghana.
Marketing and Corporate Affairs Executive for Old Mutual, Patience Chatsika said she is pleased that the continental levels have noticed the impact of the campaign that is basically selling Malawi as tourism attractive place.
She told ProjectM that Old Mutual was recognised for its Green Frame Campaign where it showcased true pictures that are contributing to the promotion of Malawi as a preferred tourist point.
Chatsika said, in collaboration with the Tourism Ministry, identified strategic areas which highlights the beauty of Malawi such as Chitakale at the base of Mulanje Mountain, Cape Maclear in Mangochi Chilundu Plant in Nkhata Bay.
“We started this campaign last year when we were celebrating our 70 years of doing business in Malawi,” she said.
Tourism Minister, Vera Kamtukule hailed Old Mutual for coming as runners-up in the competition.
She has described the recognition as an achievement to Malawi.
