Renowned Nigerian gospel star Ada Ehi is set to perform at the highly anticipated Favour Gospel Concert on May 31 at the Bingu International Conference Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe.
Organised by Jacobs Events, the concert will feature a lineup of celebrated Malawian gospel artists, including Wendy Harawa, Great Angels Choir, Kamuzu Barracks Singers, Theresa Phondo, Rudo Chakwera, Paul Kachala, Ray Franklin, and Lizzie Munthali.
Speaking at a press conference in Lilongwe, organiser and gospel singer Wendy Harawa emphasised that inviting Ada Ehi was a calling, not a business move.
She said: “Our goal is to bring spiritual revival through music, not just entertainment. Such moments changed my life, and I believe this concert will do the same for others. Years ago, I sang secular music, but gospel concerts like this transformed my life.”
Ada Ehi, who gained popularity with songs like “Only You Jesus” and “Congratulations,” last performed in Malawi in 2017. She returns for more worship and spiritual transformation.
The concert promises an evening of praise, worship, and spiritual renewal. “People should come expecting a move of God,” Harawa added.
Fellow artist and co-organiser Rudo Chakwera praised Harawa for empowering women and young talents in the gospel scene.
“It’s encouraging to see women leading such initiatives and giving platforms to new voices,” said Chakwera.
The Favour Gospel Concert is set to be a major highlight in Malawi’s gospel music calendar this year.
