Former FCB Nyasa Bullets and Mighty Mukuru Wanderers left-back Precious Sambani has joined Silver Strikers on a two-year contract.
The controversial left-back, who was groomed at Namiwawa FC alongside Fransisco Madinga, joined the 2024 TNM Super League champions after dumping rookies Ekhaya FC.
Ekhaya were expected to unveil the promising former Malawi National Football Team left-back on Monday only to cancel at the eleventh hour with reports linking him to the Area 47 outfit.
The player said he was excited after getting news that Silver were interested in his services.
Said Sambani: “I am so happy to here and I look forward to a new chapter with Silver Strikers. I was so excitef when I was contacted that the team need my services.
“I never thought twice about it but rather made a move to play for this great club. I have been welcomed so well and I look forward to helping the team do well.”
Silver head coach Peter Mgangira said the player would boost the team’s bid to retain the league title.
Sambani joins forward Sam Ademeyi and midfielders Felix Demakude and Festus Duwe.
The player fellow out of Bullets twice last season after he went on absent without official leave.
He returned only to leave again in search of greener pastures in Zimbabwe but failed to seal a deal.
Sambani, who made his top-flight league debut for Wanderers, also left for rivals after two seasons.
