ABC Graduates Launch Clothing Brand to Inspire Purpose and Self-Belief

Three graduates from African Bible College University have created a clothing brand, Purpose Apparel, aimed at addressing real-world challenges faced by Malawians through fashion.

The brand, founded by Patrick Mtingwi, Precious Chunga, and Fatsani Mlongoti, seeks to remind people of their inherent value and special life purpose.

According to Patrick Mtingwi, the group leader and a degree holder in Business Administration, “The Purpose Apparel project is about reminding people of their inherit value and special-life purpose, the brand was designed and crafted with the goal of encouraging motivation and self-belief,” he emphasized.

Mtingwi noted that life can become overwhelming when people feel alone, unworthy, or insecure. “We believe in changing perceptions and providing second chances, creating an environment where transformation is not just possible but expected,” he said.

Mtingwi explained that they were motivated to venture into this project by a shared desire to inspire and uplift people’s lives while addressing a growing need for motivation and self-belief.

“We recognized the importance of reminding individuals of their intrinsic worth and unique purpose in life,” Mtingwi said.

By creating the Purpose Apparel brand, they aim to address the unique challenges faced by Malawians, ensuring that they feel supported every step of the way. Mtingwi emphasized that their partnership is defined by an uncompromising pursuit of better outcomes, empowering individuals to use above their circumstances to embrace their full potential and achieve their goals.

Currently, Purpose Apparel specializes in designing high-quality and affordable motivational t-shirts, golf shirts, and hoodies that carry messages of hope, courage, strength, and purpose.

Mtingwi cited high prices of imported materials as one of the challenges they face, but they intend to grow their brand, expand their reach, and cooperate with groups focused on mental health and personal development.

Ultimately, Mtingwi and his team aim to make Purpose Apparel a movement that inspires individuals worldwide to live with purpose, strength, and optimism.
