FCB Nyasa Big Bullets have unveiled former Flames captain Peter Mponda as their new head coach, replacing Zimbabwean Kalisto Pasuwa whose contact expired on December 31, 2024.
Mponda, who officially resigned as silver strikers head coach, has snow signed a three-year contract until 2028.
The seasoned coach returns to the Blantyre-based giant, after mostly serving as Pasuwa’s assistant, before joining the Lilongwe-based outfit.
However, FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Chief Executive Officer Albert Chigoga said the team is excited with Mponda’s return saying he will not be given targets, but his contract will be based on performance.
‘’The team is feeling great about Mponda’s return. He is a very solid coach who will do what it takes for us to win cups,’’ said Chigoga.
Meanwhile, Mponda promised to restore the team’s prowess.
Recently, Mponda made a remarkable achievement in his career, by helping Silver win the 2024 TNM Super League Championship after 11 years.
