Minister of Information Vera Kamtukule has hailed the Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG), the Jesus Nation Church of Prophet Shepherd Bushiri, beyond its role in enhancing the country’s tourism and the local economy.
Kamtukule made the remarks at the Kamuzu International Airport in Lilongwe when she welcomed international visitors from different countries who are set for the Crossover prayers dubbed the night of Goshen which will be held on 31st December, 2024 to 1st January, 2025 at Kanengo in Lilongwe.
The tourism Minister however emphasized that the coming of ECG visitors to Malawi will not only boost the local economy but also assist in setting a new standard for hospitality in the capital city.
She said, “it is important to acknowledge the efforts of individuals like Prophet Shepherd Bushiri of ECG, the Jesus Nation Church, who work tirelessly to promote tourism sector in the country, ultimately contributing to the social, economic, and growth of our country. This honor reflects our dedication to sustainable tourism and promoting Malawi’s beauty to the World.”
Meanwhile, Leader of the ECG Church, Prophet Shepherd Bushiri has said that the night of Goshen Crossover night will at-least attract over 25, 000 participants from across the globe.
“This would redefine our role as a Church, in regional and global dynamics, making it a critical player in tourism. By shining a spotlight on the tourism sector, we can raise awareness and appreciation for the diverse attractions and experiences our country has to offer,” Bushiri said.
