Business woman and philanthropist Triephonia Mpinganjira has launched a K20 million project to help rural women entrepreneurs boost their businesses.
Writing on her Facebook page, Triephonia said the initiative represents a step forward in addressing the challenges faced by rural women entrepreneurs who often have limited access to funding and resources.
The initiative follows her recent similar project known as Kuthandiza omwe Alibe Kuthekera (Empowering The Less-privileged).
She said: ” While engaging with women during my previous visits in the rural communities, I saw the struggles they endure to sustain their little businesses.
“Many of them lack the capital to expand or even maintain their ventures.
These stories moved me deeply and ignited my determination to act.”
According to the philanthropist, the goal is to foster economic growth and prosperity while empowering women to improve their families and communities.
‘’As someone deeply passionate about creating opportunities for women, this programme aligns with our purpose to improve the quality of lives of women in the communities.
Through this empowerment program, beneficiaries will receive K500,000 each to help them grow their small scale-scale businesses,’’ said Mpinganjira.
