RIVERS OF TESTIMONIES MINISTRY BRINGS HOPE TO LILONGWE’S STREET CONNECTED KIDS WITH FOOD DONATION

Seventy street connected children in Lilongwe received a welcome show of support as Rivers of Testimonies Ministry, through the Mama Mwiza Foundation, provided them with food on November 4.

During the event, Prophetess Mwiza Hannah Phiri, founder of the Mama Mwiza Foundation, highlighted the power of giving and how it conforms to Christian values.

“The best thing to do in life is to give to those who are in need, as God blesses the giver,” she said.

Explaining her motivation, Prophetess Mwiza shared a personal reflection on the hardships of going without food.

“Through the foundation, I decided to give food to street connected kids because I know what it means to have nothing. I have been there. One doesn’t need to have a lot to help others,” she added.

Prophetess Mwiza expressed her hope that this support could grow, adding, “It’s my prayer that God opens more doors for me so that this can become a weekly effort.”

She also extended her gratitude to those who contributed financially to make the event possible.

“I would like to thank everyone who contributed to this cause, with donations amounting to K246,000,” she noted, acknowledging the generosity that made the donation a reality.

The children, many of whom live on the streets in Lilongwe City, expressed gratitude to the foundation.

“We appreciate this kindness and hope for more occasions like this,” said one of the recipients, speaking on behalf of the group.

The Mama Mwiza Foundation has a track record of charitable work, focusing not only on street children but also on needy students, the elderly and entrepreneurs seeking business capital.

This recent initiative underscores the foundation’s mission to support the underprivileged in various communities.

As Prophetess Mwiza and her team continue their work, the foundation hopes to inspire more people to step forward and make a difference in the lives of those in need.
