EMMIE DEEBO’S CITY FIESTA SET FOR SATURDAY AT ROBIN’S PARK

After impressing in a number of gigs such as Lake of Stars and Mingoli Bash, one of Malawi’s rising Afro-Pop/Afrobeat artists Emmie Deebo will stage own show this Saturday at Robin’s Park in Blantyre.

Dubbed Emmie Deebo’s City Fiesta, the show is a maiden big event for the rising superstar who is expected to prove her mettle on the country’s music scene.

Speaking in an interview on Tuesday Emmie Deebo, whose real name is Emily Zintambila, described the upcoming show as her biggest moment.

She said: “I believe I have come out of age and fans should come to Robin’s Park this Saturday to confirm what I am talking about. Emmie Deebo’s City Fiesta will be a biggest moment for my career as I am expected to prove my worth as a stage artist. 

And I know that I have a big task to fulfill on this day.”

Emmie Deebo’s City Fiesta has been made possible courtesy of Akometsi, an entertainment stable for which Emmie Deebo is signed.

She said all is set for the event which promises to be a thriller.

“Preparations for the City Fiesta are going on well and this promises to be one of the biggest music celebrations in Blantyre,” said Emmie Deebo who is also ambassador for Hirwa General Dealers’ Pink Beauty Soap.

Emmie Deebo’s City Fiesta will feature a lineup of talented artists such as blossoming Amapiano star Fada Moti who promised nothing but to spark fireworks.

“I will be there at Emmie Deebo’s City Fiesta to represent the Ghetto and support her with all my energy,” said Fada Moti who is currently trending with such beats as Tifera Weekend, M’sandithawe, Kudwala, Mudwera and Tachokera Kutali.

Emmie Deebo is one of the country’s fastest growing artists who has made a name for herself both as a studio artist and stage act. She has released popular songs like Chilipo, Chi Mood, Amuna, Befu and Theka, among others.

The silky-voiced Emmie Deebo has also done popular collaborations such as  Kale (under Akometsi Entertainment) which features Pop Young, Qaso, Diego Watumanye. 

She was also featured in a song called ‘Fragile’ by Eli Njuchi feat Major Star.
