DIOCESE URGES THE LATE CHILIMA FAMILY TO COMMIT TO SERVE GOD

Dedza Diocese on Sunday night presented bibles to the widow of the former Vice-President the late Dr Saulos Chilima and his two children.

They received the bibles at Nsipe Catholic Parish in Ntcheu, the home of the former Vice-President where he was buried.

Speaking after the mass, Bishop Peter Chifukwa said the diocese presented a bible each to Madame Mary Chilima and the two children Sean and Elizabeth each with a bible.

“This is a way of encouraging them to be on the forefront in the church activities of God,” said the Bishop.

According to the Bishop, the the gesture was made to encourage them to emulate the life of Chilima’s commitment in serving the church.

The late Vice-President was killed in a plane crash on June 10 together with eight others and was laid to rest on Monday. 

President Dr Lazarus Chakwera accorded him State funeral.
