Rayoni Tourism Airline, a subsidiary of Rayoni Holdings Limited Company, says it has been granted an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from Malawi Civil Aviation Authority, enabling it to operate commercial air services.

Rayoni Tourism Airline Public Relations and Communications Manager Splendor Ngulube said  it was a milestone for the company in an competitive market.

Alex told ProjectM that the Air Operator Certificate is a rigorous process that requires companies to demonstrate compliance with strict safety and regulatory standards set by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), which comply with international standards.

He said:  “This serves as a vital link within Malawi and extend our reach to strategic locations hence reaffirming our commitment to safety, comfortable air travels to our customers and regulatory compliance. This exciting development will  make the Rayoni Tourism Airline to become the commercial airline brand that will operate under the AOC. However, the company is now finalising the process for the launch of its inaugural flights.”

Said Ngulube: “The airline will operate a moderate fleet of aircraft, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the safety, cost effective operational year-round and well-being of all passengers.

“This significance extends far beyond the boardroom and we are confident that this certification will help to build a more robust and diverse economy, creating jobs and contribute to the overall growth and development of the aviation industry in Malawi.”’

He added that the company is also dedicated to promoting tourism in Malawi, thereby, showcasing the beauty of the Northern region and its rich cultural heritage while advancing a sustainable future for the tourism industry in the country.
