A 65-year-old man from Kasungu District has demonstrated that it is never too late to pursue education after sitting for the Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examinations at Milenje Community Day Secondary School earlier this month.
Beston Jere said he decided to retake the Form Four examinations to inspire young people to take their education seriously and remain committed to their studies.
He said education is a powerful tool for transforming lives and expressed hope that his determination would encourage others to embrace learning regardless of their age or circumstances.
Jere, a father of six, also serves as Secretary of the School Management Committee at Kaulambwe Primary School under Senior Chief Kaluluma in Kasungu District.
His achievement has earned admiration from community members, who say his dedication is a reminder that learning has no age limit and that it is never too late to pursue one’s educational goals.
