According to Christopher Mankhokwe, Senior Culture and Heritage Conductor at the Heritage Centre in Zomba, it is the most visited plateaus in the country which offers a breathtaking view of other places such as lake Chirwa plain, Phalombe District, Mulanje Mountain and the surrounding valley that attracts tourists, artists, poets alike.
Mankhokwe said, Zomba Plateau has greatly contributed to the growth of tourism industry in Malawi because it is easily accessible, crystal clear waters among others.
This stunning landscape again offers endless outdoor ventures including world life, adventurous hiking trails, perfect for nature lovers, photographers including casual walkers who want to soak in natural beauty of the place.
To those who have ever had the privilege to visit the rolling hills of Zomba plateau, this place offers a majestic natural wonder and unique ecological habitats and has a maximum of 2,100 meters above sea level.
For those who have never visited the place, Zomba plateau offers a magnificent view to its visitors and is easier to reach than many other plateaus in the World which welcomes local and foreign tourists of all ages.
