In a bid to stand out in the competitive baking industry, 25-year-old Romanzie Chiseko has taken a bold step by starting a cookie business that’s quickly gaining popularity in Lilongwe.
Chiseko, a resident of Area 25, discovered her passion for baking and saw an opportunity to offer something different from the usual cakes, scones, and donuts.
With the power of social media, she turned her hobby into a thriving business, leveraging platforms to reach customers and showcase her products.
“I started my business about two months ago, and I am amazed at how well it’s taken off,I have received an overwhelming response on social media, and my customer base is growing steadily.” Chitseko said.
Chiseko’s business currently offers a variety of cookies, scones, and donuts, all baked to perfection by the young entrepreneur herself.
As the business continues to grow, she plans to expand her product line and employ local youths to help with the baking.
“My goal is not only to build a successful business but also to empower others in my community. I want to teach young people the skills I have acquired and provide them with employment opportunities, so they can become self-reliant and successful in their own right.” Said Chiseko.
