Wheelchair Donation Brings Joy to Chikwawa Woman

Chikwawa-based mobility challenged woman, Emily Kachepa can now afford a smile after an organization operating under the name Community Focus (COFO) bailed her out.

The organisation has among others donated a wheelchair which is expected to help her with mobility.

COFO chairperson, Ganizani Valentini told ProjectM in an interview that the organisation made the donation after noticing the challenges that the woman was facing.

“Mrs Kachepa is a hardworking woman and her mobility challenges were hindering her economic growth,” he said.

Valentini added that going forward, the organisation will continue to help Mrs Kachepa.

“We have seen that the wheelchair donation brought joy to Mrs Kachepa and we believe an extra help would go a long way towards helping her grow financially,” said Valentini.

In her remarks, Mrs Kachepa thanked COFO for bailing her out, saying the wheelchair will help her reach places that were otherwise difficult to access.

“By providing me with this wheelchair, COFO has helped me to regain mobility and confidence,” said Kachepa.

Meanwhile, COFO executive director, Joshua Malunga said the organisation has put in place deliberate strategies that will help propel people forward.

“Our organisation is always committed to empowering people of Chikwawa,” he added.
