Lilongwe-based Credible Investments Limited (CIL) has contributed a sum of K2 million towards the “Kuthandiza Omwe Alibe Kuthekera Kupita Patsogolo” Project which is being run by entrepreneur and philanthropist Triephornia Mpinganjira.
CIL Executive Director Abbas Nasser has confirmed the development through a statement issued Sunday.
CIL’s contribution brings the total funding to K20 million.
“We believe not only in entrepreneurship as a catalyst for economic development but also for entrepreneurship,” said Nasser through the statement.
The statement has further indicated that CIL has made the contribution to advance innovation and economic growth for a better Malawi.
“This is in line with our core value as Credible Investments Limited,” added Nasser.
In her response, Mpinganjira has commended the partnership, calling it a step in the right direction.
The initial project was worth K18 million.
Under the project, youthful entrepreneurs have been provided with K1 million start-up capital after successfully presenting an award winning business proposal.
Successful awardees will be awarded K1 million each on the 30 August 2024.
