TRIEPHORNIA MPINGANJIRA GRANT PROJECT CHANGES APPROACH

Administrators of the “Kuthandiza Omwe Alibe Kuthekera kupita Patsogolo” Project which is under renowned entrepreneur and philanthropist Triephornia Mpinganjira have announced changes to the selection and announcement of successful awardees under the project.

A statement released by Triephornia Mpinganjira Monday has indicated that under the new format, all the remaining successful awardees will be announced on the 28 of August 2024, leaving the previous format which unveiled one winner every fortnight.

Mpinganjira believes the new format will help to streamline the process of identifying winners and ensure that the project has effectively opened new doors for youthful entrepreneurs.

“We reviewed the project and we found that our plan of unveiling winners every fortnight is cumbersome because we have to introduce two links every month,” said Mpinganjira.

The statement further indicated that the previous format resulted in an accumulation of excellent applications, most of which could not be reviewed.

Under the new changes, Mpinganjira hopes to fast-track the implementation of the current project, while creating room for the introduction of new programmes.

The statement says under the new format, a new and final link will be released on her Facebook (Meta) page 9 July 2024 and it will be open for a month to give ample time for everyone interested to apply.

“This is the link that will be used to select all the remaining 14 winners for the remaining K14 million ,” She said.

After announcing successful awardees on 28 August 2024, Mpinganjira’s team will guide and mentor all the 18 winners for three months to implement their projects.

“We will invite all the winners to report on their achievements in December,” the statement stressed.

Under the project, youthful entrepreneurs have been provided with K1 million start-up capital after successfully presenting an award winning business proposal.

So far, four youthful entrepreneurs have already benefitted from the K18 million which was set for the project.
