SAMUEL NDAMELA’S WILDLIFE ARTWORKS GRACE KAMUZU INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

A Blantyre-based artist Samuel Ndamela has crafted beautiful metal wildlife artworks of elephant, rhino and giraffe which have been installed at Kamuzu International Airport (KIA) in Lilongwe by Art Malawi in partnership with GIZ Malawi.

The three metal wildlife artworks pieces are made from recycled scrap metals

According to Manota Mphande from Art Malawi, the mounting of the artworks at KIA is part of a larger national art project covering six sites across the country.

He said it is a dream come true for them to have the artworks at the airport.

Ndalama has expressed excitement at seeing his works at the airport.

“I am honoured to be part of this project which not only showcases my art but also contributes to the beautification of the airport,” he said.
