A group of people called Patriots has donated advanced dental equipment to Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (KUHES) worth K400 million to enhance the standard of dental services with the latest technology.
Speaking on behalf of the group, stain Mabangwe said the gesture is part of its broader initiative to support Malawi’s health care systems.
Dental Lecturer at KUHES , Dr. Tasneem Chikwapu hailed the group for the kind gesture, urging others to emulate it.
Dr. Chikwapu, however, said the donation will go a long way in alleviating some of the challenges that the University is facing particularly during practical trainings for the students.
‘’This timely assistance aims at addressing the urgent needs of students and the University in particular. It is expected to directly enhance the University’s capacity to deliver,,” he said.
Apart from Kamuzu University of Health Sciences, the group has donated similar equipment to various public Health facilities such as; Zomba district hospital, Bwaila, Likuni and Nsanje District Hospital.
