Meet Innocent Maneya, a 25-year-old entrepreneur behind Ngwazi Motors, a car modification and sales business in Likuni Lilongwe.
Innocent’s passion for cars began at Don Bosco Youth Technical, where he earned a Grade 1 and Level 3 TEVETA certification in Automobile Mechanics. However, he didn’t stop there.
“I wanted to do more with metals, I initially planned to build a car from scratch, but it wasn’t furtile Then, I met a friend with old cars in his yard, and my journey began,” explained Maneya.
Innocent bought an old car, worked his magic and transformed it into a stunning masterpiece. This marked the birth of Ngwazi Motors.
Located in Likuni, Ngwazi Motors established in 2022, offers comprehensive car services, including, car programming and diagnosis, car modification and car fixing just to mention a few.
Innocent’s vision is to establish a state-of-the-art workshop, employ many people to fix broken cars into new ones.
“My goal is to make Ngwazi Motors a household name. So far, I have modified and sold 3 cars and I am modifying another one soon to be finished. I don’t like seeing old broken cars I will make sure to modify and fix as many as possible, i have also employed 3 people planning to hire more” emphasised Maneya.

Said Maneya: “I am glad that what was once my dream is turning into reality, despite car modification, I focus much on fixing latest cars and there is totally nothing I cannot do when it comes to car problems, I am glad I have built a good reputation at this age.”
