National Bank Donates Specialised Equipment to Nguludi Hospital

Nguludi Mission Hospital in Chiradzulu has received a boost in its fight against premature infant deaths following a donation of specialised equipment from the National Bank of Malawi.

The bank handed over breathing aids and skin therapy machines worth K14 million.

Speaking during the donation, National Bank’s Head of Retail Banking, Oswin Kasunda said the initiative is part of the bank’s corporate social responsibility campaign, during the 12 days of every December.

This year, the campaign has impacted 12 districts, with an K140 million set aside towards various community needs.

Dr. Folias Bonongwe, a board member of Nguludi Mission Hospital, expressed gratitude for the donation, noting that lack of specialised equipment had contributed to premature infant deaths at the facility.

He hailed the bank’s gesture as timely saying, it underscores bank’s commitment to supporting critical healthcare needs, ensuring better survival chances for vulnerable infants across the country.
