Minister of Tourism, Vera Kamtukule has described the Tourism Expo 2023 Malawi as one of the best one in the country’s history.
Tourism expo Malawi, is platform meant to promote and sell the country on the international standard within and beyond Africa.
In an interview with Project M, the Minister says Malawians are now advancing in promoting tourism, comparing to scenarios of the past when tourism functions could be attended.
” Am very excited that for the first time in history we have seen more than 110 exhibitors, more than 10 international tourism reporters and 24 local media reporters, this is a great improvement. This means that the general public is now embracing tourism and raising the consciousness of the sector.” Says Kamtukule.
Kamtukule further says her Ministry is looking forward in strengthening working relationships with private sectors exploring in the same lines of tourism.
The Minister added that, her Ministry convened with different Africa representatives in ensuring that there must be approachable operations in border posts in as far as tourism selling is concerned with a single product angle in neighbouring countries.” She said.
The two days Takulandirani 2023 Tourism expo which has started on 26th and will end on 27th April has brought together participants from countries such as Nigeria, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Zambia , Uganda, Botswana and South Africa among others.
