Malawi National Women’s Football Team player Sabina Thom has sealed a deal to join a Georgia top-flight league club WFC Lanchkhuti.
The former Silver Ladies and Bangwe Super Queens striker has signed a two-year contract with Lanchkhuti barely two weeks after leaving DRC’s TP Mazembe where she played for a year.
Finer details on her move are sketchy, but she said she is happy with the move.
“I am very excited because I have realised my dream of playing professional football in Europe after my time with Swedish club,” she said.

“She is a hard working player and I am proud of her considering that she was exposed while playing for Bangwe Super Queens (now Mighty Mukuru Wanderers Women),” he said.

She has joined Vanessa Chikupira and Bernadette Mkandawire of Billk Kazygurt in Kazakhstan and Rose Kabzere for FC Montpellier and Tabitha Chawinga of Lyon while her sister plays for in US for Kansas City.
