Malawi’s Inner Electrical Engineering Company, manufacturing grinding mills, says its products are now getting attention on the international market such as South Africa and the United Kingdom.
The company, which is located in Ndirande Township in the commercial City of Blantyre is an expert in manufacturing peanut butter Grinding machines, groundnut flour making machines, freeze machines, popcorn machines and many more.

Nankumba has told ProjectM that he learned electronics and Engineering from a Zimbabwean Company called Sisonke Traders from 2016 to 2017 before transitioning to work exclusively at his own Company.
Sosola said: “Many times along my journey, I thought I would not make it. At times, because I did not do well at MSCE level although I passed the examinations.
“However, this did not stop me from pursuing my dreams because my interest was to learn about electronics and acquiring new skills in this exciting field. Overall, my time at Sisonke Traders was both enriching and essential in advancing my skills and expertise. This exposure broadened my understanding of industrial processes and contributed significantly to my professional development.”
He said he does his business online with his customers within and outside the country.
The 37-year-old young innovator said following his training and work place experience learning, he became a certified engineer and played a pivotal role in establishing his company in 2018.
“We are creating positive change and are passionate about empowering young Malawians with opportunities for skill development, job placement and entrepreneurship through various work programme initiatives. Currently, we have employed two people to assist us as we continue to innovate and streamline our processes,’’ he said.
The Ndirande-based entrepreneur adds that the company uses locally available materials in manufacturing these products saying for example the manufacturing of a groundnut flour making machine can be done in just three days.
He cited lack of working capital as affecting the company and is urging well-wishers to help out in any way to meet the rapidly increasing demand for high quality services in Malawi and on the international market.
