The Football Association of Malawi (FAM) has arranged a training camp for the National Women’s Football Team during the FIFA International Women’s Window from 8 to 16 July 2024.
FAM said in statement the camp is aimed at assessing the players as they prepare to defend the Cosafa Women’s Championship set for October.
The team is also expected to have an international friendly match during the September international window.
Meanwhile, FAM has announced 30 players that coach Lovemore Fazili has called up to camp at Mpira Village in Blantyre from Monday, 8 July.
There are also some changes in the technical panel with women’s football legend Maggie Chombo returning as assistant coach while Simplex Nthala and Robert Ng’ambi have retained their positions as goalkeeper trainer and fitness trainer, respectively.
Finch Nkhata is the team’s physiotherapist while Bertha Mvura is the team doctor and Lina Mtegha is the liaison officer. Ivy Zimba will continue as the yeam manager while Abbas Makawa is the technical advisor.
