It was all smiles today when 15 elderly men and women from the Mai Mbambande Foundation in Lilongwe interacted with Philanthropist and entrepreneur Triephornia Thompson Mpinganjira at her home.
The gesture excited Mpinganjira and founder of Mai Mbambande Foundation Deborah Mbale.
Mpinganjira is one of the well-wishers who has been supporting Mai Mbambande Foundation. And today’s visit of the elderly men and women impressed her before took it to her official Facebook page to express her gratitude.
Wrote Mpinganjira: “Today, my heart is melting with joy and gratitude. I had the incredible honor of welcoming over 15 elderly men and women from Mai Mbambande into my home. Their smiles, warmth, and the stories they shared filled the room with an indescribable energy. They came not just to visit, but to express their heartfelt appreciation for the little things I have been able to do for them.”
She also thanked the elderly men and women for the wonderful gifts of a goat, chicken and the fresh veggies which they brought her.
She said the elderly, through their gesture, taught her a true meaning of appreciation and connection.
“In a world where we often rush past each other or compete for likes on social media, it was a powerful reminder of the beauty of connection. These elders carry with them a lifetime of experiences, wisdom, and love, and to witness their gratitude was profoundly humbling. It made me realise how even small acts of kindness can ripple out and create a wave of positivity,” said Mpinganjira.
She added that the elderly men and women ‘s visit to her home inspired her to do more in her charity work.
On her part, Mbale applauded Mpinganjira for inviting them to interact with the elderly from Mai Mbambande Foundation.
“As Mai Mbambande Foundation, we will live to remember this day. We extend our appreciation to the Mpinganjira family for sparing their time to interact with us. We don’t take this for granted,” said Mbale.
She also expressed her excitement for making such an important connection with Mpinganjira.
