While majority of youths across the country are scrambling for white collar jobs, three youthful entrepreneurs in Lilongwe decided to take a different route by venturing into entrepreneurship.
The three, Chisomo Lakudzala, Dan Kasinjeni and Elijah Black formed an art oriented group called “House of Substance” which has music and various media services including photography and videography.
Chisomo Lakudzala, sound engineer and music producer of the studio has told ProjectM in an interview that the trio came up with the concept in 2016.
Black is a videographer, Kasinjeni studied parasitology while Lakudzala studies music and IT.
“After we agreed on what we needed to, launch our project, we opened House of Substance Media Company in 2019,” he said.
The media company has grown and is now producing music for several artists mainly in Lilongwe.
Apart from music production, the media company is also promoting several artists by, among others, producing their music for free or at a reduced rate.
“We are also providing live sound services, tutoring and other media services,” said Lakudzala.
The trio wishes to see their brand grow into a household name.
“Currently, I personally have no interest in white-collar jobs as I am working hard to push our business,” he added.
Tionge Mphande, a veteran media personality and an ardent follower of the trio, has commended progress the they after establishing their works few years ago.
