Lackson Kenani asks Malawians to conserve the environment by recycling

A 27-year-old man, Lackson Kenani has encouraged Malawians to conserve environment by recycling different locally available resources in their homes and coming up with different furniture’s and decorators.

Lackson Kenani, an Initial Primary Teacher Education 16 (IPTE) student, who went to Machinga Teachers Training College, told ProjectM that the resources he uses to make the products are cheap, available and can be recycled hence conserving the environment.

He said, “I make different beautiful home furniture’s and decorators like trollies, displays, flowers, wall hangings, flower base, shoe cracks, hats just to mention but a few from sacks, cartons, old bags, bottles among other things.”

Kenani has also advised his fellow youths to think something big and ask advice from the right people.

“It’s time for the youths to wake up now, deepening their skills and employ themselves. For instance, I am a teacher by profession, not yet employed by government but from what I do I meet my daily bread.” Kenani emphasized.

He also revealed his vision of opening a company that would be making and providing the products made by locally available resources hence creating job opportunities to his fellows.

Lackson Kenani has also appealed to the government, stakeholders or any well-wisher to assist him so that he can reach out to young people who did not proceed with their education and impart them with the skills.
