Miss Culture Malawi Honoured at Africa Awards

Malawi’s Ireen Navicha, the reigning Miss Culture Malawi 2023 and Miss Culture Global 2024 First Princess, continues to make waves on the international stage.

On March, she was recognised at the prestigious Emerging Brands in Africa Awards held in Harare, Zimbabwe, where she received the Emerging Brand in Modelling award.

Navicha was honoured for her exceptional work as a rising model in Africa and her dedication to giving back to the community through charity.

According to the event organisers, she stood out not only for her modeling talent but also her commitment to making a positive difference in people’s lives.

“It is an honour for me to represent Malawi internationally. Standing on this stage, holding this award, I am reminded that dreams are valid, that resilience is rewarded, and that passion will always find its way to the surface, no matter the obstacles.”

The award serves as a symbol of her dedication and the journey she has walked, a path marked by persistence and belief in herself despite the challenges.

Navicha took the opportunity to inspire young girls across the continent, encouraging them to pursue their dreams relentlessly.

She said: “To every young girl who dares to dream beyond the limitations set before her, this is for you.

“To those who have poured into me, lifted me, and believed in me even when I struggled to believe in myself, this is our victory.”

Beyond the runway and pageant stages, Navicha’s heart beats for charity. She has been actively involved in supporting underprivileged communities through charitable organisation like the Greynavies Foundation, dedicated to helping vulnerable children and families.

In 2023, Navicha and her team visited Zoe Foundation Orphanage in Lilongwe, where they donated clothes, lotions, and snacks to the children.

Reflecting on the visit, she highlighted the importance of kindness and giving back.

She and her team did the same in 2024 at Kang’ona Orphan Care in Mzuzu. They delivered essential items, including clothes and cups, to the children and teachers.

Navicha expressed gratitude to the volunteers and donors who made these charitable activities possible.

“It doesn’t take much to help someone. Let’s always support each other when we have the chance to. My vision to support my country is becoming a reality because of each one of you,” she said.

Navicha’s achievements and commitment to community service continue to inspire many, especially young girls who dream of breaking barriers and making a difference.

“Africa is rising, and so are her daughters. This is just the beginning,” she said.
