GOVERNMENT HAILS INDIA FOR HUMAN CAPACITY BUILDING

The Malawi Government has applauded the government of India for supporting the country in human capacity building.

Deputy Minister of Education Nancy Chaola Mdooko said the Indian government is offering higher education in line with the aspirations and thematic objective and the National Education Sector Investment Plan (NESIP) 2020-2030.

Speaking to ProjectM, Mdooko said that the ministry wants to increase equitable access to higher education through implementation of strategies in offering high education.

“India is empowering us with the enlightened human resource that will help us and home-grown solution to some of the challenges rather than to rely on expatriates,” she said.

The Deputy Minister has since hailed the government of India for the well-trained graduates the Malawi Government produces every year.

In his remarks, Charge’ d Affaires at Malawi High Commission to Malawi, Sandeers Kumar said they are committed to support Malawi’s economic development.

He said his government is going to provide tertiary education both physical and online.

“Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) has been providing various forms of education from 2008; it has increased slots to 150 every year,” said Kumar
