From Malawi to Zee World: A Rising Star Shines Bright

Malawi’s film industry is buzzing with excitement as three talented young filmmakers, Faith Msole, Beatus Ble Msamange, and Memory Natasha Phiri, have just graduated from the prestigious MultiChoice Talent Factory (MTF) program in Zambia.

This marks the first time Malawi has sent three participants to the program since its launch in 2018, breaking new ground for the nation.

But the spotlight belongs to Msamange, who emerged as one of the best-performing students in the class of 20 creatives drawn from across Africa.

His exceptional skills and dedication earned him an exclusive two-week training opportunity at the Zee World offices in India, the home of dramatic storylines that keep families hooked and glued to their screens.

Msamange expressed his gratitude and determination, saying, “I’ve learned so much from this program, and I’m ready to use my skills to elevate the arts in Malawi. I want to inspire and mentor others to achieve greatness.”

With over 300 artists across Africa having benefited from the MTF program since its inception, Malawi’s graduates are carving a legacy.

Previous participants like Chimwemwe Mkwezalamba, Jonathan Kapumba, and Brian Magombo are already making waves in the creative industry.

As Msamange prepares to bring a touch of Zee World magic back home, it’s clear that Malawi’s film industry is on the rise, with its storytellers poised to dazzle audiences both locally and internationally. Let’s hope Msamange’s remote-hiding skills are as sharp as his filmmaking talents!
