Former Bangula United goalkeeper Laurence Sitolo has donated jerseys to two football teams in the area of Traditional Authority Mbenje in Nsanje worth K1 million.
Sitolo said he decided to boost teams in the area who have no foot atires hence the donation.
He observed during his time as goalkeeper for Bangula United they had no football uniforms.
“So I wanted to address the challenges they used to face,” he said.
According to the former footballer, earlier this year he also presented jersey to Kabaza Football Team valued at K650,000, saying he is targeting teams in Nsanje Lalanje.
Speaking on behalf of the teams, an official of Bangula United, Francis Nyongo hailed Sitolo for the donation.
“We are very thankfull for the gesture and appealled to other well-wishers to emulate the example set by our former player,” said the official.
