FEMALE ENTREPRENEURS SHINE AT TIYENI TIGULITSE NETWORKING EVENT

The COMESA Federation of National Associations of Women in Business (COMFWB)-Malawi chapter hosted a successful “Tiyeni Tigulitse B2B Networking Event” at the Game Complex carpark in Lilongwe.

The event showcased a diverse range of products from over 30 female entrepreneurs.

The event, held as part of the 2024 National Tourism Month commemorations, provided a platform for female entrepreneurs to connect with local business operators, promote their products, and network with potential customers.

COMFWB Malawi chapter National Chairperson Selina Mwenelupembe, expressed satisfaction with the event’s turnout, stating that almost all registered vendors participated.

The event also served as an opportunity to disseminate information about the benefits of joining the federation, encouraging female entrepreneurs to unite and support one another.

Customers in attendance praised the event’s arrangement, highlighting the variety of locally manufactured products on display.

One customer, Bonongwe, noted the presence of numerous Malawian coffee brands, emphasising the importance of promoting local products.

he COMFWB Malawi Chapter has announced plans to organize similar events in Mzuzu and Blantyre, further supporting female entrepreneurs and promoting local businesses.

This initiative demonstrates the growing influence of female entrepreneurs in Malawi’s business landscape, highlighting the importance of networking, collaboration, and promoting locally manufactured products.
