Lilongwe based enterprising farmer cum- entreprenuer, Pattson Cholaka-Linde has an interesting tale to tell.
Cholaka-Linde, based in Area 25 township, has achieved remarkable success, transforming his life after establishing a thriving business.
Linde is the founder and managing director of Kasi Transports, Kasi Meat Products and Kasi Pig farm.
He has told ProjectM in an interview that his entreprenuership journey started with just two pigs eight years ago.
“I know it may sound fictitious but its true that all I have accomplished today begun with just 2 pigs I bought from a friend,” Linde said.
Through careful planning and management, the pigs multiplied which enabled Linde to establish Kasi Meat Products, a meat supplying company that has become a cornerstone of his business.
“And as Kasi Meat Products grew, I saw an opportunity to expand my business,” said Linde.
He used the profits to establish Kasi Transports, a transportation company that provide logistics services to schools and other organisations in his community.
“Currently, Kasi Transports has several contracts with schools around Area 25, providing a steady stream of income for me,” he added.
Through his businesses, Linde has managed to employ two people.
Emmanuel Chimwala, a long time business associate of Cholaka-Linde, has described the multifaceted entreprenuer as a hardworking person who is always looking for ways to improve.
“That guy is a true entreprenuer, a person who is always ready to take calculated risks to achieve his goals,” said Chimwala.
Cholaka-Linde’s vision is to grow his businesses and employ more people.
