FCB Nyasa Big Bullets have sealed a K30 million sponsorship with CIC Insurance
Unveiling the deal on Thursday in Lilongwe CIC Insurance managing director Zachary Wambugu said they decided to renew the partnership following the success of the initial deal signed in 2021.
“We have seen tremendous growth in terms of brand visibility as you know Bullets have a large following. Nyasa institutions and Nyasa Big Bullets have been key to our growth. As you know insurance has not penetrated in the country. Currently, it is at two percent.
“As we are targeting masses we thought it a wise business decision to work with Bullets who have large masses at the bottom of the pyramid. We will make sure the partnership grows for the benefit of all of us.”
Wambugu also said they would engage one of Bullets players as brand ambassador for CIC Insurance company to promote the firm’s products.
Bullets CEO Albert Chigoga said they are excited to extend the partnership for the second year.
He said: “In 2021, we signed our first partnership and it was a success. In 2018, we commercialised. In commercialisation you need to have strategic partners and CIC is one of them. We know CIC is one of the fastest growing insurance Institutions. CIC can use us as a vehicle to reach their destination.
“We have six million fans and also have footprints in all the corners of the country. We will not partner with any other insurance companies. We will be wooing all our supporters to work with CIC. For us to grow commercially we need to explore all avenues.”
Since its commercialisation, Bullets have entered into partnership with a number of companies and firms such as FCB Nyasa Bullets who offered a whopping K500 million package, Hubertus Claus.
