The Presentation of the Virgin Mary Sisters in Dedza Diocese brought smiles and hope to the underprivileged in Chief Namkumba’s area, Mangochi District, this Christmas season.
Driven by compassion, the sisters, led by Sister Brandina Kamba, mobilized resources to provide much-needed food and essentials to orphans and the elderly.
During a heartfelt Sunday gathering, after a prayer session, the sisters handed out maize flour, soap, salt, and relish to families struggling to make ends meet amidst worsening hunger.
Fangani Wisiki, one of the beneficiaries, expressed profound gratitude, saying, “This assistance is a blessing; it will help us celebrate Christmas with hope.”
Group Village Headman Namkumba highlighted the dire situation in his community, where hunger is a persistent challenge, and he called on others to emulate the sisters’ generosity.
For these vulnerable individuals, the sisters’ gesture was more than material aid, it was a message of solidarity and a reminder of the true spirit of Christmas.
