Organisers of a new cultural event called The Glass House Art Experience say preparations for the event are complete.
The event will take place in Blantyre from June 3-6, 2026.
Organisers of the event, Pa Nthunzi Eco Solutions, say the gathering will bring together entrepreneurs, musicians, artists and the general public to celebrate the country’s creative industry.
Pa Nthunzi Eco Solutions Operations Manager and Event Team Leader, Natasha Mvula has indicated that the event will provide an opportunity for patronisers to appreciate strides the country has made in the creative sector.
“It’s an event that will feature various forms of art including sculpture, photography and painting,” she Said.
Mvula said the event will also feature activities such as live performances, panel discussions, workshops and digital art.
“Our goal is to bring to light artists that remain hidden from public view,” said Mvula.
The event will open with entertainment and night market, followed by interactive sessions, youth-oriented exhibitions and candid talk on the future of art in Malawi.
“And the final day of the event will be held alongside the Blantyre Farmers Market,” she added.
Mbayani-based art enthusiast, Madalitso Manjomo has since thanked organisers of the event for organising the event.
“It will be an opportunity for us to sample artistic works being created locally by our artists,” she said.
Proceeds from the event will be channeled towards skills development and marketing of the country’s creative industry.
