Community Focus Organisation Brings Joy to Vulnerable Children in Chikwawa

About 113 children in Chikwawa district are beaming with joy after receiving essential items from Community Focus (COFO), an organisation dedicated to supporting vulnerable communities.

The donation includes clothes and blankets meant to bring warmth and comfort to the beneficiaries.

COFO Executive Director Joshua Malunga has indicated that the donation has been made under a special initiative called Tsogolo Langa project.

“Through this initiative, COFO hopes to make tangible differences in the lives of the kids,” he said.

Malunga said the organisation has also made the donation to help in protecting the welfare of vulnerable children.

“By looking after the welfare of vulnerable children like we are doing, we can create a brighter future for these children,” said Malunga.

The donation, which was done with technical support from the Chikwawa district council, has seen children from several villages in the district benefit.

“Our organisation’s partnership with the council has enabled us to identify the most vulnerable children,” he added.

The Chikwawa district council has since praised COFO for its continued dedication in supporting the council’s efforts.

“COFO’s donation demonstrates the impact of community-driven support and care,” said the council’s community social officer Emmanuel Banda.

One of the beneficiaries thanked the organisation, saying the donation would go a long way towards helping him concentrate in school.
